Namib Sand Sea Expedition
3 Days | 2 Nights
Leave the world behind and venture into a realm shaped by wind, time, and wonder. The Namib Sand Sea Expedition is a rare transformational experience into one of the planet’s oldest deserts – a three-day, two-night odyssey through vast shifting dunes, forgotten shipwrecks, and the thunder of the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll sleep beneath star-strewn skies, explore surreal landscapes, and feel what it means to be truly alone with nature.
Day 1 – Into the Dunes
Your journey begins in Walvis Bay, where you’ll depart in fully equipped 4×4 expedition vehicles. As the city fades in the rear-view mirror, the desert rises before you. Towering dunes. Golden ridgelines. An ocean of sand.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your first overnight location. Nestled near the back edge of Sandwich Harbour’s grand lagoon – affectionately called Earth’s Paradise – your base camp will be created complete with an un-suite shower and breath-taking views. The juxtaposition of dune and sea, life and ruin, is haunting and unforgettable.
You’ll then follow the dramatic dunes, where 200-meter-high dunes plunge into the Atlantic Ocean. This drive is raw, cinematic, and utterly unique. By mid-afternoon, you’ll arrive at your second overnight location, set close to the shipwreck and the sweeping beachscape. No roads, no lights, no noise – just the elemental power of earth, sea, and sky.
